Agbọ́nrin”—The Survivor

This particular teapot is a symbolic piece. The swirling circles around its base represent the turbulence of life—the storms, cycles, and emotional spirals we all move through. Layered over these spirals is a soft white detailing, symbolising rebirth, renewal, and emerging clarity after chaos.

Resting above the spirals are hand-painted lizards, an important symbol across many African cultures. Lizards are known for their adaptability, regeneration, and ability to survive in the harshest environments. Their presence in the design represents resilience, protection, and the strength to evolve—a reminder that even through life’s turbulence, we can shed the old and step into new phases with courage.

It is more than a vessel for tea—it is a celebration of endurance, transformation, and the quiet power that lives within each of us.
